The Practice — Play the game “2 Truths & A Lie” about that obstacle and story that is messing with your perspective.

Showing My Work – My story is that I’m trapped/stuck in my house because of the pandemic. This blocks and smudges my connections with my family and myself because I grow resentment for them, and throw a pity party for myself.

1. My kids need my help with online school

2. I am a home-body and appreciate not running errands all day.

3. My husband can work from home and is supportive of me getting out of the house when he is home.

Can you guess which are the 2 truths and the lie?

  • 1. My kids need my help with online school. LIE!
  • My kids don’t even want me around when they are in school. They are fine. They log-in and know what to do totally on their own.
  • 2. I am a home-body and appreciate not running errands all day. TRUTH! I have enjoyed this aspect of the pandemic. I hate running errands.
  • 3. My husband can work from home and is supportive of me getting out of the house when he is home. TRUTH! While my husband can’t work from home every day, he can arrange for it if I need or want to get out of the house to see a friend, go for a walk, or just leave the building!

alright. Now you do the work. Play 2 truths and a lie with yourself about some story that you have been holding on to for so long that you think it actually is is embedded in your skin.
